This EUPISD program is a one-year, school-to-work program that helps students gain real job experience while building independence and confidence.
Students receive hands-on training and learn valuable skills to prepare for meaningful employment after graduation.
Project SEARCH is a partnership between the EUPISD, MyMichigan Medical Center Sault, and Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS).

EUPISD is proud to provide vital OT services to districts across our region. Thank you to our incredible therapists for making a difference every day 💙
School-based OTs help students thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally—by supporting participation in everyday school routines like recess, classroom activities, and lunch. They prepare kids for success in college, careers, and life beyond school.

As part of this effort, Lake Superior State University hosted Manufacturing Day on October 16 at the Cisler Center, welcoming 320 ninth-grade students from across the Eastern Upper Peninsula.
Throughout the day, students rotated through seven hands-on manufacturing stations, where they learned about advanced manufacturing processes, robotics, and career pathways from local companies and organizations.
Participating partners included Precision Edge, Cloverland Electric Cooperative, TN Michigan, LSSU Robotics, Louisiana-Pacific Corporation, Northern Wings, and Carmeuse, along with UP Michigan Works and the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation.
Manufacturing Day is one of many ways regional partners are helping prepare students for success in high-skill, high-wage, and high-demand careers.
These opportunities are made possible thanks to community support for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) millage. The millage gives students the chance to explore rewarding career paths and build the skills our local industries need.

During National School Bus Safety Week, we’re celebrating the dedicated drivers and transportation staff who safely get students to and from school every day all across the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Your patience, care, and commitment make a difference in every mile.

Our goal is to have representation from every local local district—and there are a few openings this year!
If you or someone you know is passionate about helping students with disabilities and making a difference in your community, we’d love to have you join us!

ADHD affects a student’s ability to focus and sustain attention toward goals. Some students may need extra support to make progress in school.
Our EUPISD School Psychologists lead evaluations to understand how attention challenges impact learning. Students may qualify for special education services under Other Health Impairment (OHI).
The ISD also provides teacher training, classroom strategies, and ongoing support to help every learner stay engaged and successful.

📚 Helping Students Thrive! 💙
EUPISD School Psychologists work with local districts to assess students and determine if they qualify for a Specific Learning Disability (SLD) in reading.
Our team also provides training, tools, and resources to help teachers use proven, evidence-based strategies that strengthen reading skills and build confidence. 🌟
Together, we’re helping every learner reach their potential!
