Looking out the window, it’s hard to believe it’s April. Mother Nature seems interested in holding on to winter. But there are small signs of spring – a few blades of grass sticking out of the snow, a bright sunrise in the morning, and some longer days. Spring is meant to be a rebirth or reset, and it brings me hope. What has also brought me hope is watching the incredible videos and images coming from Artemis II. What an incredible journey! Did you know that all astronauts are required to possess a master’s degree in a STEM field? I wonder which of our current students will become future astronauts or assume similar roles because of their STEM experiences?
Believe it or not, we’re in the last quarter of the 2025-2026 school year. The last couple of months of school will fly by, with assessments, special activities, and honors. Give yourself extra support as the days become filled with work and family expectations and needs. Please remember to give our families that extra grace as well.
Don’t forget to vote on May 5, 2026! The regional Career and Technical Education Millage is on the ballot across the EUP. This is a renewal request for a millage approved by voters in 2017. Please reach out to me at (906) 632-3373 x5110 if you have any questions about the millage proposal!
