CTE Learning that works for Michigan

25 programs, access to at least two program options per student, funded by millage

On May 5, 2026, voters throughout Chippewa, Mackinac, and Luce counties will be asked to consider the Eastern Upper Peninsula Regional Career and Technical Education (CTE) millage renewal proposal. This millage has funded vocational programs throughout several of the ISD’s public school districts since the millage was approved by voters in 2017.

The request, if approved, would support the CTE programs across Chippewa, Mackinac, and Luce Counties including:

  • Providing student transportation to ensure access to CTE programs

  • Funding CTE exploration days in: Manufacturing, Health Care, & Skilled Trades

  • Supporting Work-Based Learning opportunities

  • Funding for Business and Industry Tours

  • Supporting Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs)

  • Supporting Special Population students

  • Paying for industry recognized certifications
