EUP Regional History Day
Regional History Day is Friday, March 14, 2025!
Teacher & Student Registration Information:
The Regional History Day contest will be taking place on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Lake Superior State University. The website for the regional contest can be found here: https://mi-mhdd2.nhd.org/
Here are some next steps for teachers and districts planning to participate in the contest:
- Complete teacher registration for the regional contest on the Zfairs website. Use the teacher registration instructions document for support with registration.
- Share information with families about the district contest. You can make your own information sheet or use the Regional History Day Contest Flyer for 2025.
- Hold a local History Day competition for your district before February 24th.
- Follow advancement rules for the regional contest:
- 3 projects per category per grade span per participation type.
- Categories: Exhibit, Paper, Performance, Website, Documentary
- Grade Spans: 3rd-5th grade (elementary), 6th-8th grade (junior), 9th-12th grade (senior)
- Participation Type: Individual or Group - Papers are the only category that only have an individual option. All other project types can be group or individual.
- EXAMPLE: You can advance up to 3 individual exhibits at the elementary level AND up to 3 group exhibits at the elementary level.
- 3 projects per category per grade span per participation type.
- Make sure your students are registered for the regional contest on the Zfairs website by February 26. Remember: Teachers must register before their students.
- Make sure students have all materials uploaded for the regional contest in Zfairs by March 1, 2025.
