  • What do you mean by all slack must be physcially protected?

Posted by Jason Kronemeyer at 5/22/2017

Where there is slack either in a storage loop, hand hole, pedestal or rack shelve, the fibers need to be physically protected from accidental damage. This is even more critcal where the fibers have been stripped of the primary cable sheath for splicing.

  • Question: Do we have to build the routes as specified?

Posted by Jason Kronemeyer at 5/18/2017

The routes listed in the RFP are proposed as examples. We expect companies who are responding to provide the most cost effective routes to achieve our future goals for the Community Network.

"By releasing this RFP it is the intent of the EUPISD to create a new network built by our communities, for our communities.

Serving as the foundation for community development, a multi-county, inter-organizational community network will accelerate the expansion of critical broadband infrastructure to our communities. This network will accelerate learning in our schools, economic development in our communities and broadband expansion in our vast, rural EUP."
