Where there is slack either in a storage loop, hand hole, pedestal or rack shelve, the fibers need to be physically protected from accidental damage. This is even more critcal where the fibers have been stripped of the primary cable sheath for splicing.

The routes listed in the RFP are proposed as examples. We expect companies who are responding to provide the most cost effective routes to achieve our future goals for the Community Network.
"By releasing this RFP it is the intent of the EUPISD to create a new network built by our communities, for our communities.
Serving as the foundation for community development, a multi-county, inter-organizational community network will accelerate the expansion of critical broadband infrastructure to our communities. This network will accelerate learning in our schools, economic development in our communities and broadband expansion in our vast, rural EUP."

Erate funding was filed for by the EUP Erate Consortium Form 470 #160035124 - filed in Spring 2016. The EUP E-Rate consortium filed their application in July 2016. A FCDL has not been issued to the EUP Erate Consortium as of the date of release of this RFP.
