Superintendent
Angie McArthur is the Superintendent of the Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District. She has been in this position since January 2020. Prior to coming to the EUPISD, Angie served as the Superintendent/K12 Principal of Engadine Consolidated Schools for ten years. Ms. McArthur worked in school finance for sixteen years prior to the superintendency. In 2016, Ms. McArthur completed an Educational Specialist degree from University of Michigan-Flint. She holds a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Science from Texas Christian University.
Angie is an active member of the Michigan Association of Superintendents and Administrators, recently serving on the MASA Executive Board as the Past President. She was very active in Michigan School Business Officials and served as president of the MSBO Board of Directors in 2013.
Angie is a trustee on the Seg Self-Insurance Property and Casualty Board, a board member for the School Equity Caucus. She is a member of the Rotary of Sault Ste. Marie.
Angie is the proud mother of three children: Forrest (28) a mortgage banker in Detroit; Hannah (25), a medical school student; and Ian (21) who is a student at Ferris State University.
