Ms. Jodi Beatty

As a Special Education Supervisor, Jodi provides support to local districts in developing and implementing special education supports and services to ensure the provision of high quality, research-based practices to improve compliance and outcomes for students. Jodi works with school teams, students, and families to develop personal and academic goals to support students’ access to and progress in the curriculum. She serves as a member of the district's Michigan Integrated Continuous Improvement Process committee.

Jodi's experience includes teaching students of all ages preschool through post-secondary in general education, resource room, self-contained classrooms and center-based programs. In addition to teaching, Jodi has professional development and training in Statewide Autism Resources and Training (START) evidence based practices. Jodi has served in a leadership role as a building START Coach for staff, represented her school district as the team leader for the Build Your Future Intensive Training for Future Outcomes for students, developed autism programs in schools throughout the state, served as a MI-Access Coordinator, IEP Coordinator and facilitator, assisted school teams with Functional Behavior Analysis and Behavior Intervention Plans and facilitated co-teaching and inclusive practices in the classroom. She has been trained in and implemented educational strategies, positive behavioral interventions, Making a plan for Employment Success, evaluations and eligibility guidelines, IEP implementation, self-management strategies, writing measurable goals, restorative practices, curriculum and pedagogy, Meeting Mechanics, culture and climate and social emotional learning. Prior to transitioning to full-time Special Education Supervisor, Jodi served as EUPISD's Mental Health Coordinator, building collaboration and capacity at the state, school and community levels for increased mental health supports for all students.
