Ms. Amy Perron

Amy Perron is the Mental Health Coordinator for the EUP Intermediate School District.  Amy assists with coordination and implementation of programs and services which ensure all students have access to school base mental health support.   She will be facilitating the Functional Behavior Assessment Team and the Emergency Student Assistance Team, as well as the Youth Mental Health Committee, and she will lead other mental health teams such as PREPaRE, EUP Continuum of Care, PBIS, and others in the region. 

Prior to coming to the EUPISD, Amy served as the Director of Social Services for a small Native American tribe located in the Upper Peninsula where her social work was family-centered reaching both locally and across the United States.  More recently, she started her own non-profit agency, The Perron Foundation, which will provide a multitude of services to vulnerable populations in Northern Michigan.  After graduating from Lake Superior State University, Ms. Perron spent 29 years of her career working in both the legal and social work fields.  She served as the Executive Director for an EUP Domestic Violence Program providing services to survivors of abuse.  Years prior, Amy gained familiarity working in a school setting as she was a full time Substitute Teacher for grades K-12 for a period of 5 years.
