Ms. Kelli Fenlon
Project SEARCH Instructor/Coordinator
As the Project SEARCH coordinator/instructor, Kelli provides the on-site leadership of the Project SEARCH program at MyMichigan Medical Center Sault. She plans and provides the daily classroom instruction for employment skills. Kelli coordinates with the host business (MyMichigan Medical Center - Sault), the department managers and mentors that are providing the internships, the skills trainers working with the interns, the interns' parents and outside agencies, such as Michigan Rehabilitation Services. She serves as each intern's designated case manager for their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). She recruits new students with local school districts. Assists the skills trainers and Michigan Rehabilitation Services in securing competitive employment at the end of Project SEARCH for every intern through a variety of marketing and networking activities.
Kelli came to the EUPISD in January 2015 and worked as a transition program teacher at the EUPISD Learning Center. She worked with secondary special education students in a classroom setting with a focus on transition goals in the areas of independent adult living, community involvement and gaining employment. These students participated in a variety of work based learning experiences including the opening of a school based bistro and coffee shop called the Bulldog Bistro. Previous to coming to EUPISD, Kelli worked as a school social worker, early childhood special education teacher, preschool teacher, and kindergarten teacher.

Ms. Jessie Piippo
Project Search Skills Trainer
Jessie works with student interns at a host business developing plans and tools to help support the likelihood of a prospective job outlook. She works collaboratively with families, mentors, and the host business employees. Jessie also works with the job development team to assist in this wonderful transition for student interns into becoming productive members of society.
Jessie previously worked at the EUPISD as a job coach and as a instructional aide in the classroom at the EUPISD Learning Center with the emotionally and cognitively impaired students. She also worked at War Memorial Hospital as a certified nursing assistant.

Ms. Patricia Jones
Work Based Learning Coordinator
Patricia is responsible for coordinating with local districts on work-based learning for students in general and special education. Patricia conducts CTEIS reporting for local districts.
She brings experience to this role of coordinating work placements. Creating the Youth Opportunities Unlimited Summer Work Program for the region. She is on the Executive Board for Michigan Career Placement Association (MCPA) as the Regional Rep for the Upper Peninsula along with being the liaison for MCPA on the Executive Board for Michigan Transition Services Association (MTSA).

Ms. Carrie Carr
Teacher Consultant for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Carrie provides support to educational teams to increase knowledge and skills for supporting students with ASD through teamwork and collaboration. She participates in the planning and implementation of regional “A-Team” meetings to recommend evidence-based practices that promote success for students on the spectrum. Carrie assists districts in integrating educational supports and positive behavior supports to promote students with autism engaging in class. She also develops and delivers professional development and parent trainings related to research-based interventions for ASD.
Carrie serves as a state trainer for the Statewide Autism Resources and Training Project (START) and is a START approved effective practice leadership initiative trainer. She participates with the Michigan Autism Council as a member of the Educational Supports and Services Subcommittee.
