I support schools and communities in our region as they work to ensure that effective programming for students with autism is in place. I facilitate student specific “Autism-Team” meetings and prepare and deliver staff training related to autism. Supporting districts to build and expand upon Peer to Peer “LINKS” programming as well as assisting educators in the classroom to create and implement plans that will improve outcomes for students on the spectrum are other ways that I get to spend my days working throughout our collaborative region as part of the Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District.
