Ms. Michelle Callaghan
Speech-Language Pathologist
Michele provides speech and language services to individuals from birth through adulthood. She conducts screenings and diagnostic assessments. Michele works with students on a variety of skills involving speaking, listening, understanding, grammar, phonological awareness, reading, writing, and social language.
Prior to a career as a speech and language pathologist, Michele earned a general and special education teaching degree. She continued to keep her teaching credentials after earning a Master's Degree in speech and language pathology. Michele has worked since 1998 as a speech and language pathologist (SLP) in schools and medical settings. In her role as an SLP, Michele has worked with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school and adult students and patients. She has additional training and certifications in areas of swallowing disorders, autism, assistive technology, and reading development.
Michele is a member of the Youth Mental Health Committee. She is a certified autism coach through the START initiative. Michele is also a contributing member of the Northern Michigan Speech and Language Collaborative.
