Ms. Alicia Lawlor
Alicia is the regional preschool consultant and serves as the areas early childhood specialist. In that role, she provides supports, services and training to area Great Start Readiness Programs (GSRP), private preschools, and other early childhood programs in the region. She strives to help early childhood programs maintain a high quality environment while providing developmentally appropriate experiences for the young children in the region.
Alicia is also the director of Superior Start: The School Readiness Center. Superior Start is a high quality School Readiness Center on the campus of Lake Superior State University that not only meets the developmental needs of the children it serves, but also works closely with staff at LSSU to provide a hands on-lab school experience for pre-service educators.
Alicia taught Head Start, GSRP, kindergarten and middle school resource room for a combined 11 years before coming to the EUPISD as the preschool consultant.
