    • Registering for ISD Professional Development

We are now using a new system to track attendance at ISD PD - no more multiple sign-in sheets!  Use this link to view directions on how to find your event and register.

    • PLCs

Seven districts in our region are now conducting regular professional learning communities and using that collaboration time to improve curriculum alignment, instructional fidelity, and student achievement.  If you are in a school who is not participating in professional learning communities and would like to understand more about that process, please contact Lindsay Brindley.

    • RtI...I mean MTSS... ??

Heads-up:  Response to Intervention (RtI) is now being replaced with a new acronym:  Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).

    • MAISA Common Core Units

This past August, a group  of teachers and consultants from across the state rolled out a suite of writing units addressing the major components of the Common Core; the units are currently being piloted in various Michigan districts.  In 2013, MAISA will be offering a summer PD opportunity for training groups of lead teachers (1200 of them!) in the implementation of the units, followed up with support throughout next year.   Use this link to look at the units; use this link to access the flyer for the training.  We'd like to send a K-12-representative team from the U.P. in June!

    •  GLAD and DnA
The "old" version of the GLAD will not be available on Data Director after September 30th.  If you need to use the older version, you will need to save a hardcopy of the test yourself.  Scores can be entered into DnA. . The new generation of the GLAD will be in DnA which is linked to Illuminate.  The team has worked all summer on creating a new GLAD linked to the CCSS.  Some have new items.  Some have old items, and some have a mixture of the new and old.   Please see your LACRT building rep for more information.
