    On this page click on "TI-83 Plus SDK "
    Follow the install directions
    This should put an icon on your desktop

    Double click to open the icon
    --- and now you have a blank screen
    Click on the white tab under file in the upper left corner
    Select the calculator you want to use
    Click OK
    Click on white tab again
    Click on CANCEL
    Now the "debug" is engaged
    Click on DEBUG from the menu choices (next to FILE)
    Then click GO
    The calculator should appear
    Minimize the first screen, but do not close it
